The Christmas Tree

A perfect day in the snow to choose the perfect Christmas tree.
There's 65 acres here. How do I decide?

I think this might be the one.

Helping Grumps and Mr. Fowler take the tree to the car.

I'm exhausted. What a wonderful day baking cookies and cutting the perfect Christmas tree. We'll decorate it tomorrow after all the snow melts off the branches.

This post takes me back to when I was a boy and we would get live Christmas trees. We would decorate it with old, faded glass ornaments and multi-colored lights that my dad has spliced and taped over year after year. It was the time of year I truly looked forward to, that special time of knowing that Santa was on his way and my family would all be together. Thanks, Lynn, for the walk down memory lane!

Hi Lynn - beautiful photographs as always. I hope your granddaughter remembers this day so fondly; it looks idyllic there.
